Preschool Classes
Preschool classes are offered to children 4 - 5 years old. This
is an independent class without parent participation. Young gymnasts
here will learn basic body shapes; how to follow circuits and station
rotations; and the dominant movement patterns of landings, swing,
spring, statics, locomotions and rotation.
• 1 hour per week offered in a variety of morning, afternoon
and weekend time slots
After School Rec Classes
Our after school and weekend classes are set up by age group. Within
each class are groupings by ability. This makes it easier to move
up within a session. Athletes in these classes will experience all
the apparatus, learn gymnastics positions and terminology, and begin
sequencing skills together into mini routines. The last week of
each class is set aside as Parent Viewing Week where families can
attend and see what the participants have been working on!
• 1 ½ hours per week offered during the week and weekends
Trampoline and Tumbling
Trampoline and tumbling is a sport on its own! As it grows in popularity,
we have begun offering this class once per week. Students progress
through landings, spring, and rotations to skills used on floor
apparatus, mini trampoline, and big trampoline.
• 1 hour per week
Boys Classes
After preschool classes, the boys are able to train in a class that
focuses on all aspects of men’s gymnastics. Although all the
women’s equipment is utilized, the boys will be more tailored
to the rings, high bar, tumbling, and vault. Open age groups
• 1 ½ hours per offered once a week
Super Stars
For our advanced recreational kids, the Super Stars encourages participation
in a team display performed once per year with the whole province!
Opportunities to display the group routine to music will take place
in the community as well. Other aspects of this hand selected group
include instruction on all other women’s apparatus.
• 2 hours twice a week
Programs run during the Fall, Winter and Spring. Sessions are generally
11 weeks each.
